Stand Up For Fernley Announcing the formation of a Political Action Committee…. · Are you tired of all the endless negative politics in Fernley? · Have you left City Council meetings disgusted by constant attacks? · Do you feel that Fernley needs to solve the challenges it faces? · Should Fernley create a positive image for itself? Now you can finally get involved with a group of people like yourself who support positive goals for Fernley and understand that as long as we become united we can provide a positive influence for Fernley’s future. We must also commit to defending Fernley when necessary against negative political forces which if left unchecked will continue to harm our city’s reputation by promoting constant controversy. Goals of Stand Up For Fernley 1. Find solutions for challenges facing Fernley. 2. Find financial solutions for the $80 Million+ WTP Bond. Including writing letters to congressional representatives and State of 3. Promote the repair of the 4. Enhance Fernley’s image in the region. 5. Promote Industry and Job Creation in Fernley. 6. Build a Convention/Community Center and keep Room Tax Dollars to promote Fernley tourism. 7. Support a clean city and measures to stop illegal dumping around the city. 8. Promote positive beautification programs to enhance the image of our community. 9. Support a Boy’s & Girls Club for Fernley. Methods 1. Raise funds to support promotion of issues, it takes money to communicate with the Citizens of Fernley through letters, advertising in newspapers, television commercials or door to door campaigns when necessary. 2. Promote debates among candidates running for political offices that effect Fernley at all levels whether they are the Pool Board, NLCFPD, City, County, State, or Federal. 3. Endorse candidates who best support the goals of this 4. To research, find the truths surrounding issues both positive and negative, then promote the best answer to the Voters, City Council, Commissions or Boards. 5. Make sure that there is representation of Stand Up For Fernley at all local meetings possible including the City Council and other local boards.
